1) First Visits

Prior your visit

Please eat a little snack/meal about 1-2 hours prior to your treatment so that your stomach is not too empty or too full.
Please wear comfortable and loose clothing.
Bring a list of medications you are currently taking

During your visit

Be prepared to discuss all aspects of your health. It is important to get an overview of your health in order to properly diagnosis your present condition.
According to our diagnosis of your condition, specific acupuncture points will be chosen to rebalance your body. The needles are hair thin, sterile and disposable.
After your treatment we will discuss your TCM treatment plan. In addition, we will make nutritional and lifestyle recommendations based on your constitutional diagnosis.

After your visit

Please try to rest.
Please try to avoid any vigorous activities immediately afterwards.
Drink plenty of water.

2) Insurance Coverage

If you wish to have your insurance cover your treatment, please contact your insurance provider prior to the appointment to learn the extent to which your treatment will be covered. Many insurance companies cover acupuncture; it depends entirely on your plan. More and more insurance plans are now offering reimbursement for acupuncture.

3) Cancellation policy

In the event that you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, please kindly give us at least 24 hours advanced notice to avoid the cancellation charge.

Are TCM pratitioners real Doctors?

NO,they are not regulated as Doctors in Ontario.

But there are TCM doctors in China,Korea,US,BC Canada and some other countries ,they are regulated as Doctors after finished TCM doctors educations (5-8 years medical education include : acupuncture training , herb medicine education ),TCM doctors can treat wide range of disease from musculoskeletal system,nerve system, circulation system, inner organ disease and more.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE NECESSARY?

This varies by each individual because it depends on how quickly the body responds to the treatment, and how long it takes for the body to heal.

As an example, a person with a very painful sprained back may be completely pain-free after 1-5 treatments, while someone else with the same condition may need a long series of treatments.

Acute Health Conditions

2-5 sessions a week until you feel better, and then once a week for a few weeks to follow up until your condition is relieved, improved, or eliminated.

Chronic Health Conditions

1 - 2 sessions a week for six weeks and then re-assess. When you feel well enough you can take a break or discontinue treatment, and then you can come back on an as-needed basis.

Ongoing care to maintain health

Once a week for 2 -3 months for conditions that move from an "urgent/ I need care" state to a "stable/ I can manage" in my own state. Many health conditions over this time can improve, change, or be eliminated.

Daily Care

Daily acupuncture treatment for one to three weeks when you are in crisis is safe and effective. When you are dealing with cravings, high stress, a relationship breakup or uncoupling, PTSD triggers, anxiety and panic, or severe depression acupuncture treatment can support you daily. For example, a NADA Ear treatment is designed for folks who are in a state of crisis. It is a simple ear treatment that can be done without a lot of explanation and talking. You can be in and out fairly quickly and carry on your day.

Acupuncture treatments as needed

It is completely all right to use acupuncture treatment on an as-needed basis. Feel free to use and experience our services as it suits your life, time and budget.

Remember that acupuncture helps your body heal itself-a process that is not always speedy.
